How many of you wish you had been able to answer your children’s questions when they ask: “Who Am I?”, “Where Did I Come From?” and “Why Am I Here?” in a more relevant way?

We all have regrets. As parents of three teenagers, though they are wonderful, we already wish we had done some things differently when they were little. In truth, all parents wish they had another chance to raise their kids again. If you are an adult, do you wish you had known certain things about life earlier than you did? What are we going to do with our experience? Are we going to hide it, or share it, to make a difference for the next generation?

The biggest crisis today is the identity crisis; young boys and girls are confused about their identity and purpose, and in some cases, even their gender. It is becoming more common for parents to allow their children to choose which gender they would like to be. The first question, “Who Am I?” deals with IDENTITY. The second question, “Where did I come from?” deals with our SOURCE. And the third, “Why Am I here?” deals with PURPOSE.

Knowing that every human being will ask these questions and the importance of it, God Almighty answered all of them in the very first chapter of the Bible itself. As I share in my books and teachings, Genesis 1:26 is the purpose statement for mankind, given by our Creator. We’ve neglected it, thinking it’s just an Old Testiment story.

Your spirit came into this world fully aware and with the knowledge of who you are and why you were sent to this earth. Instead of welcoming and nurturing that spirit to release what they were sent here for, most children are trained in the ways of this world. The environment, in which we were born and raised, plays a role in brainwashing and forming a wrong mindset in us. The sin nature we inherited plays a part in that as well.

God has given us the tools to raise up a new generation of kingdom ambassadors who will walk in their true identity and purpose and manifest the fullness of God, reclaiming the ground we lost.

They will help establish any child in their identity, purpose, and source, so that when they become a teenager they will not succumb to pressures from the culture or their peers. How many young people can you think of who have made wrong choices trying to find the answers to those three questions?

It is painful, and many carry the wounds and shame of what happened in those years for the rest of their lives. Too many end their life prematurely. Teenage suicide and pregnancies are an epidemic of our day. I believe we have the solution to stop it.

The challenge is how to practically apply those three answers to instill identity, source, and purpose into a child. What does it mean to be born in the image and likeness of God? How do we practically apply the principle of dominion and teach that to a child? This is why you need these three books. In these books we clearly reveal the concepts (with illustrations) to minister to a child’s spirit and to their soul about their identity, source, and purpose.

The first five years are the most critical years of a child’s life. When a child is born, what happens to that child, what happens around them, and what they repeatedly hear is written in their brain and heart. What we put into them during those years stays in them for the rest of their life and produces fruit when they become adults. Instead of reading to them about animals, sports, and aliens, we need to lay the right foundation on which to build their life. Let’s do a favor for our next generation so they will not make the same mistakes we made.
